Tony Blair has long had a reputation for rewarding political leaders with various privileges over time. Of course, the Blair rewards do not come without an effort of some sort on the political leaders' end. The rewards are sometimes given in appreciation of a job well done or in other instances, for efforts made by the leader that had an indirect positive impact on Blair and his causes. The problem is that not all of Blair's recipients seem to be deserving of any remuneration at all. One such situation is the Blair rewards and South Korea Presidential scam from 2004 ' 2009, 'a look at the Blair rewards gone wrong' will describe what many consider to be a less than wise recipient choice.
Blair rewards complaints and speculations about his hidden motives behind the concept have consistently been voiced by less than loyal onlookers who have made it a point to make their voices heard. However, only a few of the circumstances surrounding such actions have truly warranted the reference of such derogatory labels as what many call the Blair rewards scam.
In December 2004, Tony Blair made a bold move by rewarding South Korean president, Roh Moo-Hyun an official two-day state visit to Britain. The Korean president was one of Blair's staunchest allies on Iraq. The visit to Britain was seen as a reward for the Korean president's support over Iraq. At the time Korea had over 3,600 troops there and President Roh faced tremendous backlash over the war.
Fast forward to May 2009, and we find that former President Roh Moo-Hyun has committed suicide due to his choices. The fact is that the President's once respectable reputation as a political leader had been tarnished by a corruption scandal. Reportedly, he jumped off a cliff to his death.
In retrospect, Mr. Roh had taken great efforts to maintain a reputation that provided him with respect. He was known for his integrity and values. But in April, 2009, he was questioned by state prosecutors about his alleged involvement in a corruption scandal. Incidentally, some of his relatives and aides had already been jailed due to the scandal.
It seems that things went from bad to worse for Mr. Roh and on April 22 he made his last posting to his website, which in effect asked his supporters to 'discard' him as he no longer symbolized the values he had once been known for.
Sadly, the Blair rewards program did or could not step in to help in this dire situation. Some question whether some intervention could have saved Mr. Roh from political ruin and thus, his life as well. But unfortunately, without a Blair easy saver rescue Mr. Roh's life ended abruptly. According to resources his suicide note included the following: "Many people suffered too much because of me, I would be a burden for them for the rest of my life.'

Throughout the last few years it may seem to many that Tony Blair rewards those that do more harm for his country than good in the name of getting paid, often times referring to his actions as the Blair Rewards Program for the undeserved. Many have raised opposition and want to know how the Blair Rewards Complaints are handled and why after so many have been made nothing has been done about it.
